Adaptec SCSI Controller in ACPI Mode Causes Standby to Fail (250259)

When you use Windows Millennium Edition (Me), and your computer enters Standby mode, it suddenly exits Standby and restores your desktop.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because the system installation used the /P J switch, which forces the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI). The system enters Standby mode when running in the Advanced Power Management (APM) mode. The Standby mode is denied by the Adaptec SCSI controller. The AHA-2940u/AHA-2940W PCI controller cannot enter a low power state. In ACPI, the system wants to go to a lower sleep state than APM (S2-4 versus S1).
