When you perform a search in the Find dialog box, you may receive the following error message:
The filters required to perform this search could not be installed. The search cannot be completed as specified.
CAUSE
The error message in the "Symptoms" section of this article may appear if you are using Windows 2000. The filters to perform this function are installed by Windows 2000, not Office 2000. However, Office does not consider them to be installed when you perform the search.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
