Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 allows you to edit Microsoft Exchange 2000 Outlook Web Access (OWA) messages. If you perform a check names on the message that you are editing, any changes made to the message are saved even if you return to the Inbox or another mailbox folder without first saving changes. This behavior also occurs when an attachment is added to the message.
When you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 to access OWA, you cannot edit the message.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
