  • Microsoft Publisher 2000

This article was previously published under Q249094

SYMPTOMS

When you paste a Device Independent Bitmap (DIB) image into a Microsoft Publisher 2000 publication while a table in the publication is selected, you receive the following error message:
Unhandled Exception in Mspub.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation.
When you click OK or Cancel, Publisher quits.

This behavior occurs because Publisher 2000 can only receive data from the Microsoft Windows clipboard in Rich Text format while a table in the publication is selected.
