The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5
This article was previously published under Q249074 SYMPTOMS
If you have Exchange Server version 5.5 installed on a clustered server, when you use the Cluster Configure Application Wizard, you may receive the following error message:
Title: Cluster Application Wizard
Description:
"An error occurred attempting to get properties for the 'Microsoft Exchange System Attendant' resource:
The data is invalid.
Error ID: 13(0000000d)"
If you click OK, you may be unable to select a virtual server or group from the list.
CAUSE
This is caused by an incompatability between the Exchange 5.5 System Attendant resource and the Cluster Application Wizard.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, note that you can manually do all of the tasks that the wizard normally does, and you should not use the Configure Application Wizard on a clustered server that is running Exchange 5.5.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
The Configure Application Wizard is a feature that was first added to Microsoft Cluster Server (MSCS) in Windows 2000.
