SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade your operating system to Microsoft Windows 2000, you may be unable to log on to your computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • Microsoft Plus! for Kids was installed on your computer before you upgraded to Windows 2000.

  • You placed access restrictions on the .Default account in Plus! for Kids.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occurring, remove all access restrictions on the .Default user account before you upgrade to Windows 2000.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Plus! for Kids, version 1.0.
