When you install Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you may notice that Windows Setup creates a new folder. This folder is created by default in the following path:
Drive\Windows Folder\Options\Install
The cabinet files that are contained in this folder are used during Setup, or when you add or remove a component of Windows (for example, games, mouse devices, screen saver programs, and so on). This type of folder is commonly referred to as a flat folder.
