CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you attempt to use the Trim Cutout/Cut a Hole command on an object to which a Photo Stroke Edge or an Art Stroke Edge has been applied.

RESOLUTION

  2. In the list of running programs, click Microsoft Picture It! 2000, and then click End Task.

  4. Select the object to which you have applied a Photo Stroke Edge or an Art Stroke Edge.
  5. On the Special Effects menu, click Picture Putty.
  6. Click Distort part of the object by hand.
  7. Under Click an effect, click Shrink.
  8. Under Click a small ball for a narrow band effect, a larger ball for a wider one, click the smallest ball.
  9. Click the selected object to apply the Shrink effect.

NOTE: If you click an area in the object that is a solid color, the Shrink effect is not noticeable.
