MOD2000: Too Many Jobs Scheduled for the Same Time Cause Some Jobs to Fail (248229)

SYMPTOMS

If you schedule too many jobs to occur at the same time, some scheduled jobs may fail.

CAUSE

The Microsoft Access Workflow Designer workflow engine works best when you schedule 10 or fewer jobs at any one time. If you schedule more jobs, some jobs may fail. For example, if your Access Workflow Designer solution has 20 to 30 publication jobs, a user list synchronization job, and a workflow timeout job all set to run at midnight daily, the jobs at the bottom of the list (usually the user list synchronization and workflow timeout jobs) may fail. In addition, the server begins to run low on virtual memory.

RESOLUTION

Reschedule some jobs for other times so that 10 or fewer jobs run at any one time.
