SUMMARY

The Windows CE Object Store can contain a maximum of 65536 objects. The total size of all objects must be less than the 16MB size of the object store.

An object is defined as any one of the following:
  • Registry key
  • Registry value
  • Directory
  • File entry
  • 4KB block of file data (a 12KB file has one "file entry" and three 4KB data blocks)
  • Database
  • Database record (up to 4KB of data)
  • 4KB extension of a record (one for each 4KB beyond the first 4KB)
