XL97: Excel File Is Deleted from Server When Logging Off Windows NT (247607)

When you log off Windows NT, one or more Microsoft Excel files may be deleted from your file server.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
- The file resides on a file server.
-and- - You are using a network file system (NFS) client to access your file server.
-and- - The NFS client that you are using does not implement share modes.
-and- - The Excel file is open when you log off Windows NT.
This problem has been reported with the following NFS clients:
- NetManage Chameleon
- Hummingbird NFS Maestro
RESOLUTIONWORKAROUND
Save, and then close all open Excel workbooks before you log off Windows NT.
