PPT97: Animated GIF Images Don't Work in the Viewer (247554)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer to show a presentation that contains animated GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) images, the images are not animated during the slide show.

CAUSE

The PowerPoint Viewer is restricted to the capabilities of PowerPoint 97. PowerPoint 97 does not have the capability to play back animated GIF images that you have inserted into a presentation.
