This article was previously published under Q246946

SYMPTOMS

When you have a page open in your Web browser and you click an image map hotspot on the page, you receive the following message:
The page can not be found. The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

CAUSE

The image map hotspot contains a hyperlink to a page with a space in its file name. This issue only occurs in server-based Webs where you have inserted a picture that already exists in the Web. This does not occur with pictures from the Clip Art Gallery.

NOTE: The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that is displayed in the browser after you click the hyperlink contains a %2520 instead of a space in the file name.

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
