SYMPTOMS
When you try to publish from a UNIX server to a server running on Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT, the following error message appears:
The destination file system ignores case. The following names of pairs will conflict: <path>/<filename> and <path>/<FileName>
No Pages were published. Please name all files in your frontpage web uniquely and publish again.
CAUSE
UNIX is case sensitive. (For example, mypage.htm and MyPage.htm are separate and completely different files.) Windows-based operating systems are not case sensitive. (For example, mypage.htm and MyPage.htm are the same file.)
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, do the following: - Open the Web on the UNIX server and rename the files listed in the message.
- When prompted to update hyperlinks, click Yes.
- Republish the Web to your local computer.
