"Wake on LAN" Feature May Not Work on DeskPro 810 (246821)

Windows 2000 may not resume from Standby mode on Compaq DeskPro C466/810 computers on a "Wake on LAN" event, even though you have enabled the
Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby option for the network adapter on the Power Management tab.
CAUSE
There are two options on the Power Management tab for the network adapter:
- Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby
- Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
The Wake on LAN feature does not work if you enable the first option but not the second.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue and cause Windows 2000 to resume on a Wake on LAN event, click to select both of the options on the Power Management tab.
