Links 2000: Flybys and Multimedia Video Tours Are Unavailable (246502)

When you attempt to play a flyby or a multimedia video tour in Microsoft Links LS 2000 or Microsoft Links LS Classic, you may experience the following symptoms:
- The flyby or multimedia video tour may be unavailable.
- You may be prompted to insert a particular Links LS CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, but the CD-ROM drive does not recognize the CD-ROM, and you continue to be prompted to insert the CD-ROM.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if any of the following conditions are true:
- The course for which you want to play a flyby is one of the
following courses included with Links LS 2000 or Links LS
Classic:
- Covered Bridge Golf Club
- Hapuna Golf Course
- Mauna Kea Resort
- St. Andrews Links Jubilee Course
- St. Andrews Links New Course
- The Old Course At St. Andrews Links
- The course for which you want to play a flyby or a multimedia
video tour is one of the following courses
- Congressional
- Links 5 Course Libraries Volumes 1-4
- Pebble Beach
- Sea Island
- Valderama
- Valhalla
or any of the courses included with Links LS 1997 (MS-DOS) Edition.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use the Hole Preview feature of Links LS 2000 or Links LS Classic to view the landscape of a given hole:
- When you are ready to swing, drag the pointer to the bottom of
the screen to activate the menus.
- On the Display menu, click Hole Preview.
- Click OK when you want to close the Hole Preview
window.
NOTE: The Hole Preview feature is available for the following golf
courses only:
- Covered Bridge Golf Club
- Hapuna Golf Course
- Mauna Kea Resort
- St. Andrews Links Jubilee Course
- St. Andrews Links New Course
- The Old Course At St. Andrews Links
