PRJ: Linking Tasks to a Recurring Summary Does Not Reschedule All Recurring Tasks (245904)

In Microsoft Project, when you link one or more tasks to a recurring summary task, only some of the subtasks of the recurring summary task are rescheduled, based on the predecessor/successor relationship.
CAUSE
This behavior may occur when you link one or more tasks to a recurring summary task.
When you create recurring tasks, Microsoft Project assigns them a Start No Earlier Than (SNET) constraint to establish the proper recurrence pattern. When you link a task to a recurring summary task and create a finish-to-start relationship, Microsoft Project only reschedules the recurring subtasks that were originally scheduled to begin before the finish of the predecessor task.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, do not link tasks to recurring summary tasks.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
