PRJ2000: Unable to Log On to ProjectCentral Using Non-Microsoft Web Browser (245869)

When you connect to Microsoft Project Central with your Web browser, you may receive the following message:
Enter username for servername at servername.
User Name:
Password:
If you type your network user name and password, you see a page explaining that you need Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when you try to load the Microsoft Project Central login page in a browser other than Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later.
WORKAROUND
To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods.
Method 1: Install Internet Explorer 4.01 or Later

Method 2: Install the Browser Module for Project Central That Is Included with Microsoft Project 2000.

STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
