PRJ2000: Network Diagram Task Box Prints Across Pages (245861)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, when you print your project from Network Diagram view, or view your project in print preview, some Network Diagram task boxes (task nodes) may be split across different pages.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur when you print or view your project in print preview while using Network Diagram view if either of the following conditions is true:
  • The Fit to option in the Page Setup dialog box is selected.


    -or-

  • The Adjust to option in the Page Setup dialog box is selected.

    -and-

    The Adjust for page breaks option in the Layout dialog box is cleared.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, use either of the following methods:

Method 1: If the Fit to option is selected

  1. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
  2. In the Page Setup dialog box, click Adjust to.

    Note that you can leave the percentage in the Adjust to box as is since it should be adjusted based on the previous Fit to choices.
  3. Click Print Preview or Print.

Method 2: If the Adjust to option is selected

  1. In Network Diagram view, on the Format menu, click Layout.
  2. Click to select Adjust for page breaks, and then click OK.
  3. On the File menu, click Print Preview or Print.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
