Cannot Remotely Manage FrontPage Extensions with Microsoft Management Console (245657)

SYMPTOMS

You are not able to use the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) utility to remotely administer Microsoft FrontPage 2000 server extensions.

CAUSE

This issue occurs when both your computer and the remote computer are running Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (build 2031) and you have installed FrontPage 2000 server extensions.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
