SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to open a saved trip or map in Microsoft Expedia Streets and Trips 2000, you may receive either of the following error messages:
Failed to open document.
Unexpected file format.
After you click OK, the selected trip or map may not be displayed properly on the screen.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you attempt to open trips or maps saved in Microsoft Expedia Streets 98 or Microsoft Expedia Trip Planner 98.

Although you are unable to open trips or maps saved in Expedia Streets 98 or Expedia Trip Planner 98, you can convert your Expedia Streets 98 and Expedia Trip Planner 98 pushpin sets for use in Expedia Streets and Trips 2000.
