MOD2000: "Cannot Drop the Table" Error When You Try to Delete Workflow Table (245251)

SYMPTOMS

If you try to delete workflow from a solution when one or more tables involved in the workflow are also part of one or more offline publications, you may receive the following error message:
Access Workflow Designer

The process cannot continue because of the following error:

Error: (0x800040E14) Cannot drop the table 'tablename' because it is published for replication.

CAUSE

You cannot drop or deleted any table included as part of an offline publication until you remove the table from the offline publication.

RESOLUTION

Remove the table from the offline publication. You can remove the table from the offline publication by removing the check mark next to the table name on the Database Objects tab for the offline publication.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. From the development computer, deploy the Issue Tracking server (unless you have already done so).
  2. From the development computer, open Access Workflow Designer with the Issue Tracking database.
  3. Right-click the IssuesWorkflow process, and then click Delete Workflow Process on the shortcut menu.
  4. When prompted, confirm that you want to delete the IssuesWorkflow process. Note that you receive the error message mentioned at the beginning of this article.
