Novell Utilities Do Not Work with Client32 or Client Services for NetWare (244858)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Novell Client32 or Microsoft Client Services for NetWare (CSNW) client in Microsoft Windows 2000, 16-bit Novell utilities such as the Whoami, CX, and NList utilities do not run. For example, when you try to run the Whoami utility, you receive the following error message:
Whoami - 4.1.919: This utility could not find a network connection - Error 8836

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because these clients do not support 16-bit programs.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
