Microsoft Management Console Does Not Recognize New DHCP Server (244638)

After you configure your Windows 2000-based domain controller as a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server, the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) may display an error message stating your DHCP server is not authorized in the Active Directory.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the new DHCP server may take up to 30 seconds to update the Active Directory.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, wait at least 30 seconds for the DHCP server to update the Active Directory, and then press F5 to refresh the MMC.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
