SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word 2000, the Style Gallery is located in the Theme dialog box rather than the Format menu. To open the Style Gallery, click Theme on the Format menu, and then click Style Gallery.

MORE INFORMATION

The Style Gallery allows you to preview and apply different styles. You can use the Style Gallery to see how your entire document will look if you apply styles from a different template. If you want, you can apply the styles directly from the Style Gallery.

When you select a template in the Style Gallery dialog box (on the Format menu, click Theme, and then click Style Gallery), a preview window shows how your document will look. You can also view sample documents showing styles from the selected template, or see a list of the styles used in the template.

For more information about how to use the style gallery, click Microsoft Word Help on the Help menu, type view style gallery in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics returned.
