After you install Microsoft DirectX version 7.0, Norton Utilities 2000 may report that your computer has a virus or a registry error with the following message:
The key CLSID\{92187326-72B4-11d0-A1AC-0000F8026977}\InprocHandler32 refers to a missing file C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\gchand.dll
Also, Norton Utilities 2000 may prompt you to delete this key or may "fix" the issue automatically. After it does so, DirectX may no longer function properly or you may see the following error in DirectX Diagnostics when you press Input:
Problems were found in the system registry, the above referred registry key (CLSID\{92187326-72B4-11d0-A1AC-0000F8026977}\InprocHandler32)is missing!
