This article was previously published under Q244433

SYMPTOMS

When you select a main table, adding a detail table allows you to pick a detail table only for the selected main table. After you have selected the main table, you cannot pick a different main table for the selected detail table.

CAUSE

After a main table is selected, Access Workflow Designer allows you to select a detail table only for that selected main table.

RESOLUTION

Select the appropriate main table in the Object list before you choose to add a detail table.

MORE INFORMATION

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. On the Access Workflow Designer developer computer, start Access Workflow Designer.
  2. Open a database that has been registered for use with Access Workflow Designer.
  3. Add a main table that has an associated detail table.
  4. Delete the main table from the Object list.
  5. Click the main table that you added in step 3.
  6. On the Edit menu, point to Insert, and then click Detail Table.

Note that you can pick the appropriate detail table, but the parent (main) table box does not allow you to pick a different main table.
