SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to play content that is encoded with the Vivo audio codec, the file may seem to be played, but you may hear no sound.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, rename the Msg723.acm file in the Windows\System or Winnt\System32 folder to Msg723.old, and then restart your computer. This causes the correct codec to be downloaded.

For information about how to rename a file, click Start, click Help, click the Index tab, type renaming files, and then double-click the Overview topic.
