Client Certificates May Not Work with Windows 2000 - Site Server Membership Mapped Web Site (244274)

SYMPTOMS

Client Certificates do not map correctly to the user's account in a Site Server membership database. Client Certificate authentication requires a member to input their username and password unless certificates are required, then authentication will fail.

RESOLUTION
