XCCC: Unable to Join Video Conference After You Install the Video Camera (244269)

SYMPTOMS

If you attempt to install a video camera while participating in an online meeting with video functionality you may receive the following error message:
The local video operation failed. Check your camera. Close all other video capturing software including Microsoft NetMeeting and verify that it is not running in the background. Then, refresh or restart your browser windows.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, you must first exit, and then rejoin the video conference after you install the video camera.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
