PUB2000: Picture Inserted Into "Beware of Dog Sign" Is Displayed as a White Rectangle (244215)

SYMPTOMS

If you replace the clipart in the Beware of Dog Sign publication wizard, the picture is displayed as a white rectangle or a white silhouette.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the original clipart in this publication wizard is recolored by the publication wizard to match the Beware of Dog Sign publication.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue:
  1. Right-click the inserted picture.
  2. Point to Change Picture, and then click Recolor Picture.
  3. Click Restore Original Colors, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Publisher 2000.
