OFF98: Error Message: "The Item 'Max' Could Not Be Deleted" Emptying Your Trash (244113)

When you empty the Trash, the following error message appears:
The item "Max" could not be deleted, because it contains items that are in use. Do you want to continue?
NOTE: Several error messages similar to this may appear if you installed more than one Office Assistant on your computer.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if you empty the Trash after you move your Microsoft Office 98 folder to the trash, or if you use the Remove Office 98 utility to remove Office 98 from your computer.
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- You are running version 9.0 of the Macintosh System Software (Mac OS).
-and-
- Your computer has been set up to use multiple user accounts.
-and-
- Your account is a normal user account.
-and-
- You move your Microsoft Office 98 folder to the trash, or you use the Remove Office 98 utility to remove Office 98 from your computer.
-and-
- Your computer has not been restarted since an Office program was last used.
RESOLUTION
Follow these steps to resolve the problem:
- Click Restart on the Special menu.
- Log on to the computer.
- Click Empty Trash on the Special menu. Click OK to confirm the file deletion.
