Folders Cannot Be Sorted in the Site and Services Management Tool (244054)

SYMPTOMS

When an administrator is using the Active Directory Site and Services Management Console and tries to sort subnets and sites according to their alphanumeric strings by clicking on the column headers, the folders do not sort. However you will be able to sort Site Links. Also, the administrator is restricted from changing the column sorting order of these objects.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because folders are not sortable in the Windows 2000 Sites and Services Management Console.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
