SYMPTOMS
When you log on to a trusted domain, you may receive the following error message:
The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed.
This error message can occur if the
LMCompatibilityLevel setting is set to 4 on your domain controllers.
RESOLUTION
A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.
