Mac IntelliMouse: Nothing Happens When You Click an Icon or Object (243361)

When you click or double-click an icon or object on a Macintosh computer,
nothing may happen.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- You disconnect the Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer and connect
a 3-button Universal Serial Bus (USB) mouse.
- You assigned the click function to buttons four or five in the
IntelliPoint Control Panel.
RESOLUTION
To prevent this issue from occurring, follow these steps before you
disconnect the IntelliMouse Explorer and connect a 3-button USB mouse
to the computer:
- On the Apple menu, click Control Panels.
- Double-click IntelliPoint.
- On the Buttons tab, click Restore Defaults.
- Close the IntelliPoint window, and then close Control
