Error Message: The Disk Was Not Found. Please Insert the Disk (242277)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Setup Computer Wizard (SCW) in Small Business Server 4.5 and you are prompted for a Setup Disk, you may receive the following error messages after you insert a disk into the floppy drive:
The disk was not found. Please insert the disk.

or

The disk is damaged. Please insert another disk.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the disk you insert is not formatted.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, format the disk before you insert it into the floppy drive.

MORE INFORMATION

If the disk is already formatted, SCW reformats and deletes all data on the disk.
