SYMPTOMS

When you use the Active Directory Users and Computers Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in to create a mail-enabled user on the inactive node of a Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server cluster, you may receive the following error message:
The file name, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect. ID no: c007007b

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
