SUMMARY

Depending on the version of Windows 2000 you are running, and whether you are installing Site Server 3.0 only, or Site Server 3.0, Commerce Edition, you may need to install a patch file, Ss3w2k.exe, prior to running the Setup program.

Specifically, Ss3w2k.exe must be installed for the following:
  • Site Server version 3.0 on Windows 2000
  • Site Server version 3.0, Commerce Edition on all versions of Windows 2000
Site Server 3.0 also requires the installation of the Site Server 3.0 Service Pack (SP) on Windows 2000 installations. Both the SP and Ss3w2k.exe can be downloaded from the following location: NOTE: Ss3w2k.exe can be downloaded by itself from either of the following locations:

NOTE: The reason the URLs above refer to an SP3 location rather than the latest SP number is because Ss3w2k.exe was released with the SP3.
