OL98: Error Message "STOP 0x00000050" When Selecting Page Setup (241509)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Page Setup on the File menu, in Outlook running on Microsoft Windows NT, you receive the following error:
STOP 0x00000050 (0xe2800000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000002)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA

CAUSE

This is caused by the ATI 3D Rage Pro AGP video driver.

RESOLUTION

Set the Display properties to 65,536 colors or less.

To set the Display properties:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  2. Click Display, and on the Settings tab, under Color Palette, click 65536 Colors or less.
