Ftp.exe Does Not Pass the ACCT Parameter from a Script (241507)

SYMPTOMS

When you are using a script with Ftp.exe to automate logging on to an FTP server, the account parameter is not properly passed. In a Network Monitor trace, the ACCT frame shows invalid or blank data.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem.
