OL2000: (CW) Turning Off Team Folders Wizard Still Displays Command (241167)

SYMPTOMS

You turn off the Team Folders Wizard, however the Team Folders command still appears when you click New on the File menu.

CAUSE

The Team Folders Wizard component is not currently loaded and thus changes are not reflected.

RESOLUTION

Choose one of the following resolutions:

Turn Off the COM Add-Ins

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Other tab, and then click Advanced Options.
  3. Click COM Add-Ins.
  4. Click to select Outlook 2000 Team Folders Wizard.
  5. Click OK three times.
  6. Repeat the above steps, clicking to clear Outlook 2000 Team Folders Wizard.
This method works as well if you find that the Team Folders menu is not found even though the option is turned on in the COM Add-Ins dialog box.

Uninstall Team Folders Wizard

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  3. Double-click Microsoft Outlook 2000 Team Folders Wizard.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
