The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Golf 2001 Edition
- Microsoft Links LS 2000
- Microsoft Links LS Classic
This article was previously published under Q241065 SYMPTOMS
When you host a multiplayer game in Microsoft Links LS 2000, Microsoft Links LS Classic, or Microsoft Golf 2001, only one Golfer Appearance may be applied to all of the golfers in the game. For example, all of the golfers in the game may appear as Arnold Palmer.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if all 12 Golfer Appearances included with Links
LS 2000, Links LS Classic, or Golf 2001 are not installed on the host computer.
A Golfer Appearance is an animation that is installed during Links LS 2000 or Golf 2001 Setup.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, remove Links LS 2000, Links LS Classic, or Golf 2001 from the host computer, and then reinstall the program. Make sure to install all 12 of the animations during Links LS 2000, Links LS Classic, or Golf 2001 Setup. To do this:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then
click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the list of installed programs, click Microsoft Links LS
2000, Microsoft Links LS Classic, or Microsoft Golf
2001, and then click Add/Remove.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to remove the
program.
- Insert the Links LS 2000, Links LS Classic, or Golf 2001 Disc 1
CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to install the
program. Click Yes each time you are prompted to
install an animation.
To work around this issue, host the multiplayer game on the computer on
which the most animations are installed.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
