To run Home Publishing 2000 you need:

  • A multimedia PC with a Pentium 166 or faster processor.
  • Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows 98 operating system, or Microsoft Windows NT Workstation version 4.0 operating system with Service Pack 4 or later.
  • 24 MB of RAM for Windows 95 or Windows 98, or 32 MB of RAM for Windows NT.
  • 92 - 147 MB of available hard disk space for a minimum installation (56 MB on the drive on which Windows is installed); 253 - 308 MB of available hard disk space for a typical installation (193 MB on the drive on which Windows is installed). 161 MB is required for a minimum installation if Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later if it is not already installed. (Internet Explorer 5.0 is required to run Home Publishing 2000 and is included on the program CD-ROM.)
  • A quad-speed or faster CD-ROM drive.
  • A super VGA, 256-color or higher resolution monitor.
  • A Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device.
  • A 14,400 bits-per-second (bps) or faster modem and Internet access for Internet functionality. (recommended)

    NOTE: Internet access may require payment of a separate fee to a service provider.
  • A Windows-compatible color printer for full color output.
  • A sound card with headphone or speakers for sound.
  • A microphone is required for voice recording.
  • To send an e-mail greeting you need Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0. To view e-mail greetings, you need Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or a dynamic HTML-compatible browser.
  • Internet access is required to use Design Gallery Live.
