Encarta World Atlas 2000: Media Viewer Opens Unexpectedly When You Draw a Zoom Box (240641)

When you attempt to draw a zoom box in Microsoft Encarta World Atlas 2000,
Media Viewer may open unexpectedly.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:
- You attempt to draw the zoom box on a Multimedia Map.
- A Media Viewer picture icon is displayed beneath the pointer
when you click to begin drawing the zoom box.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods.
Wait for the Media Viewer Picture Icons to Load- Wait for all of the Media Viewer picture icons to load, and then
mouse over the map to see where they are positioned.
- Click the pointer button on the toolbar.
- Drag your pointing device diagonally to draw a box around the
area on which you want to zoom in.
- Click inside the box to zoom in on the selected area.
Click the Zoom In Button- Click the hand button on the toolbar.
- Drag the area of the map on which you want to zoom in to the
center of the screen.
- Click the zoom in button on the toolbar.
Use the Shortcut Menu- Click the hand button on the toolbar.
- Drag the area of the map on which you want to zoom in to the
center of the screen.
- Right-click on the map.
- Click Zoom in.
