OFF2000: Strange Mouse Pointer Behavior with Office Programs (240325)

When you click any of the menus in a Microsoft Office program and then try
to select a menu command, the following problems may occur:
- You cannot select any menu items.
-or-
- The mouse pointer may unexpectedly shift position on the screen.
-or-
- When you click a menu command on a menu, the command may not run.
Instead, a different command is run, or the worksheet or object that
is underneath the menu is selected.
-or-
- When you right-click and then click a command on the shortcut menu, the
command may not run.
CAUSE
These problems occurs if any of the following conditions is true:
- The Logitech Enhanced Control Center Software that is included with
Logitech MouseWare is installed.
-or-
- You are using the Logitech mouse driver version 6.42.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, close the Logitech Enhanced Control Center. To do
this, follow these steps:
- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to display the Close Program dialog box.
- Click the EM_EXEC or E_EXEC program.
- Click End Task.
NOTE: These steps close the program only for the current session of
Windows. You must contact Logitech for more information about the Logitech
Enhanced Control Center.
