FP2000: Shaded Boxes on Graphics Included in Themes (240160)

SYMPTOMS

When you apply a theme to a web, some video drivers display shaded boxes over text in the graphics included in the theme when previewed in a browser.

Current drivers known to cause this problem include:

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, do the following.

Change your video driver to Standard VGA by doing the following (applicable on Windows 98):
1. Right-click a blank space on the desktop.
2. On the shortcut menu, click Properties.
3. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.
4. Click the Adapter tab, and then click Change.
5. In the Update Device Driver Wizard, click Next.
6. Click the Display a list of drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want button, and click Next.
7. Click the Show all Hardware button.
8. Select Standard Display Types, and then select the Standard VGA driver.
9. Click Next and then click Finish.
In Microsoft FrontPage, open a web that has a theme.
On the Format menu, click Theme.
In the Themes window, select no theme and then click Apply.
On the File menu, click Save.
Reapply the theme by doing the following:
1. On the Format menu, click Theme.
2. In the Themes window, select your original theme, and then click Apply.
On the File menu, click Save.

NOTE: Even though this issue no longer appears in the browser, it may still be present on the Preview tab in FrontPage.
