To create and print an envelope project:

  1. Start Home Publishing 2000 or Greetings 2000.
  2. Click the Paper Projects tab, and then click Envelopes.
  3. In the Themes box, click the theme you want.
  4. Click the envelope design you want, and then click OK.
  5. Enter the text you want in the return address and mailing address text boxes.

    NOTE: To enter the text you want, select to highlight the default address text, press the DELETE key, and then type the text you want to appear on the envelope.
  6. On the File menu, click Print.
  7. Select the print options you want, and then click OK.
If you want to automatically address multiple envelopes that are going to different people, you can use the Mail Merge feature in Greetings and Home Publishing. Mail Merge uses data from another data source and adds it to your project. The steps below describe how to merge addresses from the Microsoft Windows Address Book into your envelope project. For additional information about using Mail Merge, on the Help menu in Greetings or Home Publishing, click Help & Ideas. Click the Index tab. In the Type in the keyword to find box, type mail merge, and then click Display.

To merge Windows Address Book data with your envelope project:
  1. Start Home Publishing 2000 or Greetings 2000.
  2. Click the Paper Projects tab, and then click Envelopes.
  3. In the Themes box, click the theme you want.
  4. Click the envelope design you want, and then click OK.
  5. Select to highlight the default return address text, press the DELETE key, and then type the text you want to appear in the return address text box.
  6. Select to highlight the default mailing address text, and then press the DELETE key.
  7. On the Mail Merge menu, click Open Data Source.
  8. Click the button next to Merge from the Address Book.
  9. In the Fields box, click Address Block, and then click Insert.
  10. Click View Results to see the merged text.
  11. Close the View Results dialog box, and then close the Insert Fields dialog box.
  12. On the File menu, click Print.
  13. Select the print options you want, and then click OK.
