MOD2000: SetupS.log or SetupC.log refers to SQLServerAgent Service as MSSQLServerAgent (240070)

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Access Workflow Designer server or developer components when Microsoft SQL Server is already installed, the Access Workflow Designer installation logs changes to the computer system. As part of the changes logged during installation, the Access Workflow Designer queries and stops all Microsoft SQL Server services, including the MSSQLServer and SQLServerAgent services. If you open the corresponding Setup log file, however, you notice that the SQLServerAgent service is displayed as MSSQLServerAgent.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. On a computer that has the Microsoft Office 2000 components and Microsoft SQL Server already installed, install the Access Workflow Designer server or developer components.
  2. After installation is finished, open the corresponding Setup log file (SetupS.log if you installed the server components or SetupC.log if you installed the developer components). You can open the log file in Notepad or in any other text editor.
  3. Search for MSSQLServerAgent. You may find up to three references to this service name in either Setup log file.
  4. In Control Panel, open the Services tool. Note that MSSQLServerAgent does not appear in the list of available services, but that SQLServerAgent does appear in the list.
