PUB 2000: Wizard and Design Set Catalog Items Appear in the Wrong Category (240065)

When you browse the catalog in Microsoft Publisher 2000 some catalog items may be listed in the wrong categories. For instance, Web Sites may be listed in the Newsletters category, Brochures may be listed in the Web Sites category, and so on.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if Publisher 2000 is installed in the same folder as Microsoft Publisher 98 and you did not remove Publisher 98 during the installation of Publisher 2000.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use any of the following methods.
Remove Publisher 98
Remove Publisher 98 using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel.
Remove and then Reinstall Publisher 2000 in a Different Folder
Remove Publisher 2000 using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, and then reinstall Publisher 2000 into a different folder than the folder in which Publisher 98 is installed.
Reinstall Publisher 2000 and Choose to Remove Publisher 98
Remove Publisher 2000 using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel, and then reinstall Publisher 2000. When you are notified that a previous version of Publisher is installed on the computer, do not clear the check box in the dialog box.

You can also resolve this issue by deleting the Pub50.ctg and Pub50sp.ctg files. However, deleting these files breaks the catalog in Publisher 98.
