SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word, when you attempt to change the Office Assistant, Word may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if Microsoft Works Suite 2000 is installed on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Works Suite 2000.
